About

A publication built to be read slowly

My2cents Inked is a personal publication — started because the conversations I kept having in the clinic and the lecture hall deserved more room than either format allowed.

I write across six sections — Women's Health, Medicine, Essays, Stories, Poetry, and Books & Chapters — because I've never believed those were as separate as medical training implies. No push notifications, no autoplay, no ads. Just writing, and enough white space around it to actually think.

What we believe

Plain language over jargon

Especially in Women's Health — the body deserves to be discussed in words people actually use, not words that keep them at a clinical distance.

Specificity over sentiment

A true, small detail does more work than a big, vague feeling. We edit for the former.

Readers over metrics

No ads means no incentive to keep you scrolling past the point a piece has said what it needed to say.

Slow, but not precious

Unhurried doesn't mean self-important. We'd rather be useful and honest than impressive.

About the writer

Dr. Pooja Wadekar is an obstetrician & gynaecologist, an educator, and a writer. Her clinical work and her teaching have quietly shaped one another for two decades; her writing is where both are allowed to slow down.

My2cents Inked collects what doesn't fit neatly into a consultation or a lecture — women's health explained plainly, notes from teaching rounds, and the stories, poems, and books that sit alongside the medicine in an ordinary week.

With contributions from

Stories, Poetry, and Books & Chapters also carry occasional pieces from a small circle of contributing writers, invited in because their attention is as unhurried as this publication tries to be.

Meera Sane

Women's Health, Books & Chapters, and personal essay.

Radhika Furtado

Fiction and poetry.

Ishaan Verma

Fiction, poetry, and Books & Chapters.
